Who Am I

Ibrahim Ramy is a filmmaker and visual artist from Cairo born in 1997. His work as a visual artist uses photography, glitch, and video art as mediums to explore and create space. He graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Film Studies.

Ibrahim is the writer, director, and producer of the award-winning short film “Liter of Gas”, which debuted in Islantilla and has since been screened around the world including Cairo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Nigeria, Kuwait, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Argentina, Kenya, South Africa, Colombia, and Mexico.

Ibrahim is a believer in Cinema’s potentiality to offer us means of imagining and becoming. As an artist, Ibrahim is interested in exploring topics around the Human Condition, hoping to better understand its unique modality in relation to the worlds that exist around it. He is also a part-time urban wanderer, nature lover, and astrology enthusiast. He is currently in pre-production for his next film "Don't Throw Away The Blood"
